Pout Make-up School founder, Lisa trained in London at the internationally renowned Glauca Rossi School of Make-up in 1998. She was introduced to the fashion industry while working as a model, and quickly discovered a passion for the art of make-up. Since then, Lisa has been working independently at the forefront of the fashion industry both locally and abroad.
Lisa's work has been seen on the cover's and pages of magazines such as GQ, FHM, Sports Illustrated, Glamour, Elle, Norwegian Elle, Marie Claire, Cosmo, Gli, The Face and Dazed and Confused. Lisa has collaborated with some of the most respected photographers, celebs and models in the industry - working on numerous international and local fashion catalogues and campaigns.
Indisputably one of Durban’s leading make-up artists, Lisa continues to work in the industry alongside teaching, thereby staying abreast of all the latest looks and trends and providing her students with invaluable hands-on experience and insight into this exciting industry.
I have an international diploma in Make Up Artistry from Face to Face as well as having studied photography at Natal Technikon after completing matric. I was previously involved with Ruff Tung Fashion Design with Paul Botha since its inception in 1999, and have done all the make up for all fashion shows and fashion shoots over the years including Ruff Tung at South African Fashion week.
I do all the make up and hair styling for Models International, [a prominent modeling agency in Durban], and have been dong so since 2004. I do work for magazines that shoot in Durban as well as working every day in the fashion and advertising industry, working for prominent Advertising agencies, and have worked on numerous TV Commercials and print ads, as well as all of Durban’s clothing brands. I work as an agent for make up artists and hair stylists and have a team of wonderfully talented artists! My company is called Nixon Make Up! And then I take a break from this hectic world of Fashion and Advertising and do one of my favorite things which is making brides beautiful every Saturday!
